Brazil’s accession to the Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement (the Madrid Protocol) in 2019 has simplified the registering of trademarks further, both for Brazilian applicants who wish to register abroad and for those who seeking protection in Brazil in other offices. This speeds up the process and registration time and creates the option of having all applications in one place.
